There will be a Family Reunion for Shepard Family members and friends this summer in Anacortes, Washington on Saturday August 13, 2011.

Our family hasn't met in Anacortes for 3 years, so the time is right to return to this beautiful resort town on the Puget Sound in Western Washington. This is the home of Maida Gower Shepard and most of her family, who will be hosting this event.
The 2011 Reunion will take place in the Anacortes Christian Church fellowship hall, 1211 M Ave, Anacortes.

Anacortes is a town of about 12 thousand people and has been home to members of our family since 1978. Although Anacortes is located on Fidalgo Island, it is easily accessible by bridge from the mainland of Washington State. It is a major ferry stop for traffic traveling to and from the other San Juan Islands.
To get to Anacortes from Seattle (75 miles away), take I-5 north to Mount Vernon, and then take Hwy 20 west.
Among the possible motel accommodations is The Fidalgo Country Inn (7645 State Route 20) in Anacortes. Several of us have stayed there and have found it comfortable, close and reasonably priced.
